Whether it's spring with its colourful meadow blossoms and fiery red alpine roses, summer with its pleasant climate, impressive summit adventures and long days, or the golden autumn with the "Burning Dolomites" and orange-red landscapes and breathtaking views: every season offers a special and unique experience. The opportunities for sporting activities are almost unlimited. You will be rewarded for your efforts with marvellous views and a deep sense of satisfaction. Excursions

Hike along the countless walking and hiking trails and enjoy the enchanting scenery of Val Gardena. Many paths start directly from the house or can be reached in a few minutes with the summer bus, which stops at 150 m from La Rojula.
Our apartments are the ideal starting point to reach Seceda with the world famous Fermeda peaks, Sas Rigais and Col Raiser. Also less well-known places such as Pic, Stevia or the cosy path to the S. Giacomo church, are right on the doorstep. The overwhelming view of the Sassolungo Group invites you to explore the Friedrich-August trail, where you will likely spot one of the pretty marmots. The Alpe di Siusi high plateau is also nearby, inviting you to enjoy a leisurely hike. Take the time to stop off at one of the many typical and charming mountain huts, where you will be spoiled with the most delicious local delicacies.

Climbing

If you enjoy high altitudes, you will definitely be rewarded while climbing on the numerous Dolomite via ferratas in the surrounding area: the Oskar-Schuster via ferrata at Sasso Piatto, the Pössnecker via ferrata on the nearly 3.000-m-high Miara peak in the Sella massif, the Tridentina via ferrata to the Pisciadù and many more.
Local mountain guides are happy to accompany you on climbing tours that range from easy to challenging. Pure adventure in the heart of the Dolomites!

Biking

Val Gardena is the only certified cycling region in South Tyrol, with a total of 600 km of routes. Accordingly, there are both leisurely tours, e.g. via Monte Pana to the Alpe di Siusi, as well as challenging bike-tours with rapid descents, such as the famous Sellaronda MTB Tour.
Trail enthusiasts will find numerous opportunities for unforgettable experiences on Plan de Gralba, Ciampinoi and Dantercepies. There are several bike shops in S. Cristina offering modern mountain bikes and e-bikes for hire. Racing cyclist will be thrilled on the legendary Dolomite passes as Passo Gardena, Passo Sella and Passo Pordoi.

Val Gardena offers a variety of exciting indoor activities that will delight both young and old. Recharge your batteries in the Mar Dolomit swimming pool with sauna area in Ortisei or discover climbing at the various climbing and bouldering halls.
Additionally, in Val Gardena you can play tennis and go horse riding. Adrenaline junkies will be thrilled by paragliding, the high rope course at Val d’Anna or the ZIP Line descent on Monte Pana and enjoy an unforgettable sense of freedom and tranquillity.

Kids

We love children, which is why you will find plenty of entertainment options for them throughout the valley. There is a small, quiet playground just a few metres from the La Rojula apartments and a second one is a short walk away.
On Monte Pana, the Panaraida, invites families to linger and play at the various stations. In addition, most of the huts offer play facilities that will make any child’s heart beat faster.
